2D + 3D COMMERCIAL
HEMGENIX — PHARMACEUTICAL EXPLAINER

This project marked my first major 3D motion challenge after officially becoming a full-time designer at Coed Studios. Building on the success of my previous 2D-heavy project Later Greater, my creative director encouraged me to push into 3D, character motion, and conceptual design.

A key highlight was designing a DNA structure as a staircase — animated with a character walking up and around it in full 360°.

This required learning and integrating several pipelines:

  • Designing modular DNA assets in Cinema 4D using Cloner

  • Animating character walk cycles with Mixamo and refining them with CMotion

  • Camera and motion path planning in 3D space

  • Rendering 3D to match a 2D flat-shaded style

  • Final compositing and character rigging in After Effects using Rubberhose

I was also tasked with designing an entire 30-second segment, from storyboard to delivery, which strengthened my skills in pipeline planning and visual storytelling under creative constraints.

This project sparked my deep interest in character animation — a passion you can now see reflected in many of my personal works.
